Residents of a Bellevue neighborhood were outraged Monday after discovering that someone shot a friendly neighborhood cat with a crossbow.

This happened in the Cross Timbers neighborhood. Fortunately, the cat survived. The plastic arrow hit the cat in the eye.

Police believe the injury was intentional. A matching arrow was found lodged in the carport where the cat was shot.

The cat is in stable condition, but will lose his left eye. Surgery is planned for Tuesday morning.
